Delhi Capitals (DC) Team Players Got Their Dronacharya!
In the current pandemic situation, the cricket fans, specially IPL fans have experienced the relief to their boredom as the ever interesting and exciting Indian Premier League 2020 has begun at the United Arab Emirates. In this season, the start was just mind boggling but people have paid respect to the coaches for their player’s performances. People are really astonished with the performance of Delhi Capitals players. The viewers have really appreciated the three players of DC team for their excellent performance and presence of mind in recent IPL matches. But these three players of DC gave their growth’s credit to their mentor/coach. “The Wall, Mr. Dependable, The guru who taught his students patience, importance of patience, stability, and calmness” has been appreciated a lot. Most of the people may have got the idea about whom I am talking, and if not, here’s one last hint: He is popularly known as JAMMY! Yes, we are talking about the former cricketer of Indian Cricket team Mr. Rahul Dravid. Jammy has proved that a “GURU” can mold student’s life in a charismatic way, such that the world opens doors for his students.
Shreyas Iyer developed his game focus plan under the guidance of Dravid. Right-handed batsman Shreyas Iyer made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in December 2017. The 24-year-old is a man of cool control and thanks to coach Dravid. Iyer has always said that it was Dravid who taught him how to stay focused and not be troubled by things not within his influence. Iyer, the skipper of the IPL Franchise Delhi Capitals (formerly known as Delhi Daredevils), scored 162 runs in the home series against Sri Lanka.
Shaw, who had previously failed to keep his back leg in line with the ball, praises him with making him adhere to his batting style and concentrate on producing more runs. In October 2018, Shaw made his test debut against West Indies and has a top ranking of 134 to date. Prithvi Shaw, the right-handed, top-order batsman and former Indian U-19 team captain, is another attacking disciple of the coolest coach Dravid. The 19-year-old has also shed light on how his coach played a vital role in overcoming a very complicated dilemma with his batting ability.
Another Dravid student who is grateful for teaching him how to be patient on and off the field is wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant. For teaching the art of playing in compliance with the situation, he also thanks his cool mentor. Pant made his debut against England in international cricket in February 2017. With 20 catches and 350 runs in the four-match Test series, after putting up a sensational display in the test series against Australia, Pant smashed the record of former captain MS Dhoni. Pant, who continues to shoot for the stars, thanks Dravid for his success and, with what he learned from his Teacher, aspires to go further. Pant, Iyer and Shaw are playing from Delhi Capitals (previously known as Delhi dare devils) and their excellent performance in IPL made theirs’ and their guru’s hard work pay off!
Though not from Delhi Capitals, but right-handed opening batsman Mayank Agarwal made his international Test cricket debut against Australia in December 2018. Educated under Dravid, the 27-year-old praises his Mentor for showing him the techniques of great battering and the technique of positive energy control. It was during the Test Series against Hosts, Australia, that Agarwal took advantage of Dravid's expertise and experience. Debuting at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Agarwal had a top score of 77, and aspires to be better under the leadership of Mr. Dependable of India. Rahul Dravid is one of the finest individuals living on this planet, and his students have too many reasons as to why their guru is best of his kind!
