The craze for cricket in India is not hidden from us. Over the years the love for cricket has witnessed exponential growth in India. Although there were many ups and down not only in a player’s life but cricket as a sport in India has also developed in a phased manner. Indian team and players were not so popular few decades back as they are now. It is the combined efforts of the cricket council and players that the enthusiasm for sport in India is known to world now. The main purpose of discussing this struggle was to glorify Indian cricket.

There are many emotional moments in Indian cricket. So here discussing a few of them.

  • Winning of World Cup in 2011

In my opinion this has been the most joyous moment so far. It is because this moment came after a period of 28 years. The statement said by Ravi Shastri when Dhoni hitted a six in the last ball still is an epic one. "Dhoni...finishes off in style! India lift the World Cup after 28 years! The party starts in Mumbai..". There were a lot of breakthrough in the game and also nervousness right from the first ball. But in the end India won and this win changed the perspective of people towards cricket.

  • Sachin’s Farewell Speech

Almost every cricket fan cried at this moment. The “God of Cricket” made everyone emotional. Many people chose to play cricket because of him. He and the records he made are unbelievably the best ones.

  • Dhoni’s sudden retirement from International Cricket

On 15 August 2020 when MS Dhoni announced his retirement, it gave a sudden shock to his fans as they were not expecting such early retirement from him. His huge fan army and beloved team members wanted a farewell match for him. He has been the most successful Indian captain so far and will always be one.

The list of such emotional moments in Indian cricket history is a long one. India awaits more thrilling and entertaining moments full of emotions, wonder and joy.
