Who is the world’s best batsman in international cricket , at present?

Cricket as we know demands a great enthusiasm , aggressiveness and team spirit at the same spot. The previous decades have witnessed some amazing talent in cricket. From Sir Don Bradman to Virat Kohli all have entertained the audience with their unbelievable talent. Although it’s a game of batting and bowling, most of the audience fall for batting. Generally whenever a child dream of becoming a cricket player , he imagines himself to be a great batsman. Since we have some great batsman in our cricket society we can discuss and make out the best batsman at present.

  • Kane Williamson : This right-handed batsman from New Zealand has been in spotlight from quite a long time. Because of his efficient calibre he is currently the captain of New Zealand team across all formats. In 2019 World Cup he led his team to the finals single handedly. He is third in the list of highest strike rated century by a New Zealander. He is also the fastest player to score 6000 runs in test cricket from New Zealand.
  • Joe Root : An unpredictable right-handed batsman and occasional off-spiner, Joe has performed extremely well in 2019 World Cup. He scored two centuries and two fifties from England side. We can say he is one of the gems in the England cricket team. He secured a century in the first match after he became test captain and became the sixth person to do so in England history. He is also 9th in the list of ICC ranking in ODI format.
  • Virat Kohli : Currently regarded as the best batsman , he is the captain of Indian cricket team since 2014. He is on the top in the list of ICC ranking with 871 points in ODI format. He holds the record of scoring fastest 11000 runs in world cricket history. He has been recipient of several awards like ICC Test player of the year 2018 , Wisden Leading Cricketer in the world 2016, ICC ODI player of the year 2012.
  • David Warner : This left-handed batsman is part of Australian cricket team. He is the first batsman in 132 years from Australia to get selected in national team without any experience in first-class cricket. He holds the record of being second in the list after Sunil Gavaskar to score three consecutive test centuries. He is also one of the famous players in Indian Premier League(IPL) has several times won orange cap award.
  • Ross Taylor : He is the leading run scorer in ODI and test format from New Zealand. He has scored 40 centuries in his international cricket career. Currently he is 4th in the list of ICC ranking in ODI format with 818 points.
