The IPL is known for excitement, Drama and thrill. From ball 1 there is something or the other happening in the IPL that we just cannot even afford to blink our eyes. From 1st ball wickets to 1st ball sixes. There’s enough for everyone in the IPL. Amongst the many matches which were thrillers in the IPL, there were few RUN CHASES specially which were just too good to be true. We have collated a list of such unbelievable run chases to make you go nostalgic all over again!

The Top 5 Run chases are as follows :

Rajasthan Royals (226/6) vs PBKS - IPL 2020

Rajasthan broke their own long-standing 12-year record in a marvelous match played at Sharjah this season. Batting first, KXIP put up 223 on the board with a radiant 100 from Mayank Agarwal, a fifty from KL Rahul, and a cameo at the conclusion by Nicholas Pooran. In spite of the enormous score, there were still trusts of the target being chased down owing to the little measurements of the ground. RR begun ineffectively and looked to be losing the diversion and this can be when Sanju Samson begun making his nearness felt. He made a glittering 85 of just 42 balls. But his expulsion within the 17th over appeared to have sounded the passing toll for RR. But an unsung saint, Rahul Tewatia, who had battled for the foremost portion of the innings, and at one point was 8 off 17 balls, took the onus upon himself. He crushed Sheldon Cottrell for 30 runs, 5 sixes, within the 18th over which swung the diversion drastically in RR’s support.

Mumbai Indians (219/6) vs CSK - IPL 2021

With the misfiring middle-order, it was supposed to be tough for the Mumbai Indians to chase this total. But ultimately, it was this middle-order, and specifically, Kieron Pollard that pulled off an unbelievable chase. Kieron Pollard, the architect behind this chase came into the crease with MI needing 138 from 10 overs. Just like Rayudu, Pollard was seeing the ball like a football.

While Bumrah, Boult, and Dhawal looked clueless against Rayudu, Shardul, Curran, and Lungi looked helpless against the mighty Pollard. Supposed to be his favorite opposition, Pollard smashed 87 off 34 balls with 6 fours and 8 sixes. The match came down to the last ball as Pollard sealed a double to help MI clinch a thriller against their favorite opposition

Rajasthan Royals (217/7) vs DC - IPL 2008

In the inaugural season of the IPL itself, we saw a record run chase which would go on to remain the greatest chase in IPL history for 12 years. Deccan Chargers were fueled by Andrew Symonds’ capable 117* as they posted 214 on the board. The target appeared a bit as well steep for RR’s batting lineup. But Rajasthan, who had a dream season in 2008, took on the challenge and demonstrated everybody off-base. With a 71 from Graeme Smith, a swashbuckling 61 off fair 28 balls by Yusuf Pathan, and little commitments from the rest of the team, RR was able to achieve the incomprehensible and have their names carved in record books.

Delhi Capitals (214/3) vs GL - IPL 2017

The 42nd match of IPL 2017 is the game that turned the fortunes of the Delhi Capitals from being a battling group to a squad that's presently a powerful one. The reason being, it was in this game that the team's pivot, Rishab Pant, really arrived at the scene.

Delhi’s best 5 had nearly zero international experience. In spite of this, them coming to the gigantic target set by Gujarat Lions is in fact exceptional. The chase was built on the 143-run stand between Sanju Samson and Pant. While Sanju got out at 61, Pant blasted himself through the diversion, enlisting nine sixes and six boundaries. The duo ultimately closed the game with 15 balls to spare.

Punjab Kings (211/4) vs SRH - IPL 2014

One of the foremost beneficial seasohttps://www.india.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/srh-kxip_5-1024x740.jpgns for the Punjab Kings as everything that the team touched turned to gold within the 2014 version. Be it person exhibitions or a complete team show, PBKS aced everything in 2014. Within the chase that we are talking about, it was the latter that was on display.

PBKS gave themselves a tough target of 206. However, within the shape that they were in, the score appeared achievable. In spite of the fact that Sehwag’s early dismissal did scratch the team’s trust, a genuine execution by other group individuals made a difference PBKS get near the destination.

While Wriddhiman Saha scored a fifty, Manan Vohra and Glenn Maxwell came up with great cameos before captain George Bailey completed the formalities with a 19 ball 35. It was a flawless and palatable execution by one of the leading groups that PBKS has ever handled in IPL.
